caramel cake
What do you need:
- 150 g oatmeal
- 50 grams almond flour
- 100 g low-fat quark/thick yogurt
- 75g unsweetened applesauce
- 25g Greensweet Syrup Caramel
- 3 eggs
- 10g baking powder
- almond milk
- pinch of salt
For the caramel sauce:
- 20g whey protein @myprotein
- 40g Greensweet Syrup Gold or Greensweet Syrup Caramel
- 20 g melted biscuit spread
- 0.5 tbsp almond milk
How to make this cake:
1. Preheat your oven to 165C.
2. Beat the eggs for about 6 minutes until smooth and fluffy
3. Mix the quark/yogurt and applesauce with the eggs until smooth and airy.
4. Mix the dry ingredients together and stir well. Add the wet ingredients and mix again until a cake batter is formed. If the batter is too thick, add a little almond milk. Pour the cake batter into a greased or parchment-lined cake tin.
5. Make the caramel sauce by mixing the caramel ingredients together and pour it over the cake and swirl it so it goes through the cake.
6. Bake for about 35 minutes and enjoy!
